The Board of Directors of this 24 year old Exchange
Company consists of :
1. Mr. Hamad Al Ateeqi,
Chairman and Managing Director
2. Mr. Nayef Al Ateeqi, Director
3. Mr. Laith Al Ateeqi, Director
4. Mr. Salem Hamad Abdullah Al Ateeqi, Director
5. Mr. Mohammed Hamad Abdullah Al Ateeqi, Director
All are Kuwaiti nationals.
The Chairman is, also the Chairman of Kuwait India International
Exchange Co., another well known Exchange Company,
established 26 years ago. Mr. Hamad Al Ateeqi is also
a Director of several other prestigious and well known
Trading and Real Estate Companies in Kuwait. Incidentally,
he is the Sponsor-Chairman of Carmel School, Kuwait
which has been imparting to expatriates’ children,
a very sound education for more than two decades.
Major operation of this Exchange Company,
is in the handling of remittances of expatriates in
Kuwait, most of whom are nationals of
India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc. Quite
many American, British, Canadian and other nationals
working in Kuwait in Education, Trading and Oil sectors
also send their remittances to all major financial centres
of the world through us. If customer loyalty is any
indication, hundreds of expatriates throng to this Company
despite competition prevailing in Kuwait because of
prompt, efficient service, good rates and safety of
transactions with a proven track record.
This Company is managed at all levels
by experienced ex-bankers headed now by
Mr. M. P. Dalbehera, General Manager, who was a Senior
General Manager of State Bank of India. The Deputy General
Manager of the Company is Mr. T. V. Reddy, who also
was in SBI for 21 years. The Assistant General Manager
Mr.V.Murugaiyan was in SBI for 26 years. Mrs. Sarada
Menon, a Chartered Accountant looks after the Company’s
Accounts and Compliance. Mr. D. Debashish, M.B.A., is
the Manager (Marketing & Systems). Branches
are manned by experienced operating staff from India,
Bangladesh, Philippines and Sri Lanka. There are five
branches of this Company, at Safat, Fahaheel Maliya
Hasawi and Farwaniya.. There are proposals for opening
more number of branches in 2008.
The strength of this Company is that
we have for 24 years, very close links with the entire
expatriate community in Kuwait. The capital of this
Company has been augmented to KD 1,000,000 (US$ 3.5
million). There are proposals for further increase in
capital.
This Company issues American Express Travellers Cheques
and deals with sale and purchase of all kinds of Currency
Notes as well. |
